Begin Preparing for the 2011 Season NowFall Baseball Practice Program
Players will meet one night a week. The first weeks practice will be at the indoor facility in Lynnwood. Practices may move outdoor depending on weather and daylight. All Practices will begin at
5:30PM during the week but may fluctuate as the program progresses
due to the loss of daylight. Outside practice times may be
moved up as daylight dissipates or may be moved indoors as the
weather changes. All information will be provided to players
and parents at practices. Northwest Baseball Academy
Director, Mark Potoshnik and coaches from the Academy fall teams
will run practices.
Focus will be on individual player development using the following
elements:
Players will be grouped by age and skill level.
Each player will receive a T-Shirt and a written evaluation
of their progress with identification of specific areas of skill and
specific areas for improvement. For 2011, the league age birth date will be April 30th. So, what a players age on or before April 30th will be his league age. If his birth date is May 1st or after (and for example, turns 14) he would still be considered a league age 13 year old. Whether you are staying in Koufax or moving up to Mickey Mantle, the change will affect all age groups. Other leagues may or may not be making this change. You will need to contact the league you will be in for the 2011 season to determine which age group you will be for the fall season.
